Final episode for 'Heroes' tonight?
UNDATED -- NBC's comic-book-style drama "Heroes" has its season finale Monday.
The show about common people with uncommon abilities is wrapping up its fourth season, but the show might not make back onto the prime-time schedule next season.
"Definitely a waiting game. It's sort of always like this," said Jack Coleman, who plays "HRG."
The supernatural saga has lost much of its power to draw audiences since it debuted in 2006.
NBC will likely make a decision on the show's fate by May. Until then, cast members are hoping to leave a lasting impression.
In Monday's episode, Samuel gathers his carnival family, the media and others to reveal their powers to the world.
"It just all goes haywire, because all the good people show up," said Robert Knepper, who plays Samuel.
"This story brings in literally all of our characters that we've had over the years," added "Heroes" creator Tim Kring.
Claire tries to stop Samuel's coming-out party.
"It's going to end in a lot of damage, a lot of destruction, and a lot of dead innocent people," said actress Hayden Panettiere.
Claire's actions might be at the expense of someone she loves.
"It looks like it may be curtains for HRG," said Coleman.
Some of the actors seem resigned to the possibility that the series may suffer the same fate.
"I've had a blast. I really have," said Knepper.
"It's been awesome. I've had the best time of my life," added Ray Park, who plays Edgar.
If this is the end for these heroes, they're going out with a bang.
