Quake survivor possibly found after 27 days

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- A survivor may have been pulled from the rubble 27 days after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

The story remains unconfirmed, however, since there is no video or photos of the rescue.

However, the reports states a 28-year-old man was found in the wreckage of a market, where he made his living selling rice. Although he was severely malnourished and dehydrated, the man did not appear to have any major injuries.

A group of Haitians found the survivor while digging out the marketplace and immediately brought him to the hospital. The man was extremely disoriented and believed at times he was still trapped under the rubble.

The survivor reported that someone brought him water while he was trapped. Doctors say that surviving for that long would not have been possible without water.

The man will be the first person reportedly found alive in the aftermath of the earthquake since Jan. 27.
